Custom Atlanta builder Bob Beardslee puts the definition of that word to work in every single home he builds. With a fine eye for the details that suit the lifestyles of today's families, Beardslee is known for his open, flowing floor plans, custom cabinetry, high-end detailing and more.
Bob personally attends to every detail of your dream home during construction. From foundation to finish, he is an active, hands on builder who crafts each home as if it were for his own family. "I take a personal interest and extreme pride in every home I build". A quality, sound built home is the best gift I can give to my customers, and a legacy I leave for the industry as a whole.
Beardslee, a member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builder Association, has achieved a reputation for creating unique and thoroughly living homes, much of which comes from his personal life experiences. As a teenager in California, he learned about woodworking in some classes in high school where he built furniture and other projects. From there, he went to work for his uncle - a creative developer who remodeled older homes.
"My uncle would take older homes and put them on pontoons and float them to Sausalito, where we'd fix them up, and he'd rent them out. They were houseboats, but they weren't homes that actually moved," laughed Beardslee."
"That actually got me started in the remodeling business." Later, Beardslee went to work for a man he describes as a "true craftsman" who did everything from wiring and plumbing to framing, finish trim and cabinetry. When his mentor died from cancer five years later, Beardslee decided to strike out on his own, first remodeling houses and later building them.
Thirteen years later, in 1995, he and his family decided to make the move from California to Atlanta. The Beardslees chose Atlanta not only for the career opportunities it presented for Bob, but also for its quality of life. The family chose the beautiful Towne Lake Hills subdivision for their new home and lived with relatives for several months while Bob designed and built the house. He did a lot of the work himself, including all of the trim and the cabinetry. Their Towne Lake Hills home combines an open floor plan, lots of windows and tall ceilings - indicative of the Beardslees' California roots - with a traditional exterior that fits right into the Georgia landscape.
Seven years later after settling into Atlanta and Towne Lake Hills and loving it, the Beardslees made another move to BridgeMill, a stunning new development in Cherokee County, where Bob has been building his signature custom homes for the past four years.
